what to do with all this useless beauty

I've mentioned it before, but I'm just not into "collector pieces"; I'm more of a color, shape and design kind of gal. This yellow canister was a find from the market where I found the globe lamp and Girl Scout scarf a few weeks ago. It is a McCoy piece (not that I care, right?) that has these great circle indentations all over it.

Not to mention the color; a bright, acid-y yellow, and not a scratch, chip or blemish anywhere on it. Let's just say that I got it for more than $2 but less than $4, which I was happy to hand over for this beauty! Now what to do with it... I've been trying to restrain myself from buying items that I have no idea where I will use them. I'm trying it out as a catchall for large cooking utensils, but it seems to be a little too tall for that purpose. I'll probably end up using it as a bookend like I do with every item that I can't find a purpose for; more on that soon.

Before I finished reading I was thinking it looked perfect for a utensil canister, I've been on a hunt for an interesting one for awhile. maybe a vase? Or a change jar?

I love the way these colors sit together! Beautiful!

Good luck - I have way too much stuff without purpose no matter how I try! Love the colors together!

yes, a vase would be really pretty with some bright flowers... I used to make much more of an effort to keep flowers in the house on a regular basis. And I forgot about my old trick- stuff some styrofoam or tissue or whatever in the bottom to lift up the utensils if I keep using it for that.
