on the road again (sort of)

I was going for an all travel theme with this one, but some other pretties snuck in there because of their great colors. I could have made at least 15 collections with items from these exact shops; I hope that you do give them a visit and find something that you can't live without. Now is the time to support the indie business owners! Mix pieces like these in with your own vintage finds and other mass-produced items for that perfectly balanced look; think more about complimentary aesthetic than making everything match. The combinations are endless, so get mixing!

Obviously the same goes for clothing and accessories; I always get twice the compliments on my vintage and handmade pieces. I don't know about you, but compliments are always welcome in my book! One of my favorite handmade pieces is this one, and my favorite vintage find is my engagement/wedding ring, purchased on ebay for a fraction of the price that we would have found at a chain store. Don't get me wrong, we shopped around and saw lots of rings that I liked, but soon realized that they were all vintage-inspired. So why not go for the real deal?

I wish that vintage shopping was more predictable; that would be the best job ever. What do you want? How much are you willing to spend? And most importantly, how much are you willing to pay me to find it? Oooh. Ideas are brewing over here...

I'm happy to hear that you all liked it, especially the ones with items included! It is because of sellers like you that I am inspired to dig through Etsy to find the best of the best!
Rikkianne, you should totally go for it with Anna's piece; she also does beautiful collages and is the sweetest person.

Oh Ursula--that is exactly where I envision wanting to be when we visit in September. Find us a house on the beach where we all can relax, listen to the sounds, play in the sand and go adventuring every day--I still haven't forgotten about those 2 old ladies--

Rita, I'll do what I can! I'm positive that you will love it out here, and it should still be beach weather when you visit! We'll visit the old ladies and have a good eavesdrop, maybe find some treasures, and most definitely listen to some waves.
