So, I was walking along the other day, minding my own business... okay, we all know that I wasn't minding my own business. Let's start over.
So, I was walking along the other day, carrying my camera, looking for someone's window or door or whatever to zoom my lens at when I passed this little niche area between two buildings. I stopped and almost laughed out loud; it looked like two different photographs spliced down the center and then put together! Or like two neighbors, acting like sisters that share a bedroom, drawing a line down the middle so that neither one could cross over into the other's space.
I wasn't going to post today because I've been spending too much time on the computer and I wanted to go on a bike ride because it is a beautiful day. But this "illusion" picture has been on my mind, and I wanted to smash it up with some other photos that I took on the same walk.
I miss hopscotch I think. I feel like I was really good at it, but then again probably everyone was. For me it might have been my one skill that involved some coordination; I wonder if it could be considered a sport? For the sake of feeling sporty today, I think I will consider it so. I'm going on a bike ride after all! As far as other playground activities went, I don't recall being very good at double dutch; it mostly conjures memories of fear and scabby knees. My head is a permanent target for frisbees to this day, and I once hung upside-down from the monkey bars while wearing a skirt. I think I was best at chasing boys. How's that for a sport? I'm going to head on back to yesterday's post and find myself a ribbon for that...

I feel sorry for the people on the right who have to look out their windows and see the building on the left.
...or the people on left that live in the ugly building and have to be reminded that they aren't living in a pretty building... : )
