come, boss!

Is this a tribute to my dairyland roots? I don't know, but a pastel cow with pearls has been on my mind for some time. I was struggling with Illustrator the other day, (apparently one of my favorite ways to pass the time) and decided to break out the paint and make this cow thing happen. I'm so glad that I did, because I forgot how fun and easy painting is! The paint does what you want it to, and mixing and blending the colors is just plain relaxing. Craig and I spent a few days calling "come, boss!" and "bossIE!" every time that we looked at my painting. I don't know if this is how one actually calls a cow, but it sounds good to me! I do really need to change the color of that wall; it is the hardest background to photograph! (I think it is much more orange than it appears.)
I also just received a fresh box of inks for my gocco today; pretty new colors and some fabric inks as well. I've got some ideas brewing...
I'm thinking of getting my Etsy store up and running again, so I'll be sure to announce the grand re-opening when that happens. And, I plan on doing a little more blogging than I have been, since things have gotten pretty boring around here lately. Time for some change!

I think bossIE is right, because SueIE is for a pig. I love that lamp!

I LOVE THAT PAINTING!
I also wanted to tell ya that I went to a new thrift the other day. Its off of Speedway.... I am forgetting the name but I think it is where the Swanson Estate Sale Shop use to be. Anyway, it is fabulous. They had lots of vintage linens which I went a little nuts over:)
They have a big blue and white sign.... I am forgetting the cross streets as well. I am horrible with directions.
I am betting you know which one it is....

I like your cow, but it doesn't have many stripes. Actually, it has now stripes at all. I'd still choose it over a black-and-white or brown cow.
